The IUPUI Police have made two separate arrests in connection with these thefts.
Thefts from Vehicles
The downtown area and IUPUI have seen a large increase in thefts from vehicles parked in parking garages in the past few months. These crimes seem to be on a sharp increase recently.
Crime Prevention Tips
· Make sure you lock your vehicle every time you park it.
· Do not leave valuables or money in the vehicle if at all possible.
· If you must leave valuables place them out of site, in the trunk if possible.
· If you have expensive audio or video equipment try to disguise it if it can’t be removed.
· If you see activity at IUPUI that seems to be unusual or suspicious call 274-7911 as soon as possible with as much information about the people and the activity as possible.
